HUMAN TRAFFICKING
As defined by the United Nations, human trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation.

FORCED LABOR
No one wants to be trafficked and lured into modern day slavery. Many people will think they have good enough awareness to be alert to the danger of trafficking. Traffickers prey on vulnerable people who do not know what they are getting into and are desperate to escape their current circumstances. Here’s a checklist you can use to identify forced labor trafficking.

SEXUAL EXPLOITATION
There are a variety of businesses that involve adult entertainment. Brothels, strip clubs, sex clubs and the pornography industry are made up of businesses that require a constant stream of young women to maintain their business. The type of work required is not usually something that women would choose to do.

CHILD TRAFFICKING
All parents or guardians must make a decision about when they can start letting their children stay at home alone or go out in public alone. The time comes for all children to be given increased personal responsibility and become more independent.
