April was another busy busy month with less workshops than the previous months, but with other activities and especially administration as one programme is ending and we are working on new ones.
This newsletter features reports from some workshops we have done with refugees. They are here in Kenya after fleeing violence in neighboring countries. As refugees they are very vulnerable to trafficking as they are desperate for any job. So we spoke with them about how to reduce the risk of being exploited and ending up in modern slavery.
In late April we also started working with NTV Kenya about highligthing the issue of internal trafficking in Kenya. We expect the story to air in May.
We accidentally put the wrong picture of one of our volunteers of the month in last newsletter for March, of Joshua Limpaso, but we have fixed that this time and put in the right picture.
